Although a simple villa, the villa provides everything you need to enjoy your stay in this beautiful area: two bedrooms (an en-suite double and a twin) and a covered terrace which leads to the well-kept, private garden and the pool. There is plenty to enjoy away from the villa, too, with clifftop walks, forgotten ruins and picturesque traditional hamlets to be discovered within the Bozburun Peninsula. Return to Sögüt with a healthy appetite and take your pick from the selection of superb restaurants, many of which serve their mouthwatering fare on wooden platforms upon the water. Please keep the gates locked at all times Area Manager Jessica Sutton: (00 90) 539 395 97 36 Shopping: In your driving instructions we mention the Carrefour supermarket which is en-route as you pass through Marmaris if you wish to stop off for a big shop. Alternatively see step 18 on your driving directions below. There is a small but well stocked mini market on the road that leads down to the waterfront in Sogut and also mini markets in the upper village. You will find bigger supermarkets in Bozburun and Selimiye. Lunch: You may wish to stop off for lunch in Cetibeli (on D400) or in Orhaniye as seen in step 10 of your driving directions below Car park exit/toll charges: You will need some change to pay for the car parking before you leave the airport, this will cost around 20TL, change is given at the booth. DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO YOUR ACCOMMODATION - approximately 2 hour 45 minutes Your hire car will have a full tank of petrol when you collect it. In most cases your paperwork will be prefilled with passport and driving licence details to speed the process of car collection. We suggest that before you set off, you acquaint yourselves with the way your odometer works. In most cars to reset you need to press the button on the end of the indicator and hold until the reading flashes for some time and then becomes zero. If you have requested any booster or child seats, please ensure you check the fittings before you set off. Please take care driving along these roads and remember to drive on the right! The speed limits are signposted along the way. The distances are measured from the car park exit barrier. 1. Leave the car park bearing right and follow the road round to the security manned exit. 2. At 5km take the 2nd exit at the roundabout. The first exit will take you to Dalaman town. If you wish to visit the supermarket, turn right here and at the first mini roundabout turn left (3rd exit). Migros will be on your right after 150m. 3. At 10km take the 3rd exit and follow signs for Ortaca/Mugla/Izmir. You will now follow the D400 straight for 55.9km. 4. At 65.9km continue straight at the roundabout take the 3rd exit towards Marmaris/Datca. 5. At 74.5km you will drive through a small village called Cetibeli, take caution as there is a local police stop here, you may be asked to show your passport. 6. At 92.1km you will reach Marmaris, continue in the right lane following for Sehir Merkezi/Bozburun/Datca. 7. At 92.5km you will continue following signs from here for Bozburun/Datca Knidos and keep in the right- hand lane. 8. At 98km you will see a large supermarket on your right “CARREFOUR” if you need a supermarket, here is the best place to stop as Selimiye/Bozburun only have small supermarkets and Sogut only has a variety of small mini market’s. If you are stopping here, turn right at the next traffic lights and follow the road round to the car park, if not, continue for Bozburun/Datca/Knidos. 9. At 110.6km Turn left following for Orhaniye/Selimiye/Bozburun 10. At 118.7km you will pass through Orhaniye, you will notice a selection of restaurants on your right, here is a good place to stop if you need to stretch your legs or get something to eat 11. A 118.9km you will pass “Kizkumu” on your right. A 600m long sand bank that goes out into the waters, you will notice others “walking on water”. Visiting times are best early morning or later evening 12. At 122.9km follow signs for Bozburun. 13. At 123.7km you will pass Turgut Carpet factory 14. At 126km you will pass the sign for Turgut Selale (waterfalls) on your left 15. At 127.8km turn right at the junction for Selimiye/Bozburun. 16. At 129.1km you will notice a sign for the Deniz Restaurant on your right, another great place to stop to get a drink/bite to eat or to stretch your legs. 17. At 134.8km you will pass the sign for Selimiye on your right. 18. At 141.1km turn left here and pass the mosque on your right, at the small junction you will notice the Petline garage down the slip road on your left, this is the only garage on the peninsula, continue straight over at the junction and turn left. If you look to the right on this junction, you will notice the BIM supermarket, this is also a very good supermarket to stock up on general items, BIM do not sell alcohol. 19. At 142.3km you will pass the Bozburun Boat yard on your right. 20. At 146.9km turn left following signs for Taslica/Marmaris, if you turn right here, you will find yourself in the second bay of Sogut “Kizilyere”. 21. At 147.4km you will drive through the upper village of Sogut, here you will find a bakery/fish mongers/butchers/ patiserrie and also a variety of mini markets, after 200m you will notice a sharp right turn, this is where the local market can be found on Mondays between 7-3. Continue through the village. 22. At 148km follow signs for Taslica to the right. 23. At 148.2km you will notice a turn on your right and a large Ecalyptus tree on the junction. Turn right here and after 400m turn sharp left (right will take you back to where the local market is on Mondays). 24. At 150.2km at the junction continue straight (2nd exit) down to the waterfront and after a further 200m you will be at the waterfront. Turn right here and Villa Ruyam is the 1st villa along on the right next to Mehmets Restaurant. Please open the white gates and park in the space provided next to the villa.
