Known locally as the "Maison du XIVème siècle," the house was once the home of a wealthy bourgeois family, a testament to the town's prosperity in the Middle Ages. You'll be staying in a home that has stood for over 700 years.
The interior has been thoughtfully renovated to provide all the comfort and luxury you need featuring 5 beautifully appointed bedrooms , offering ample space for large groups or families.
Set in the heart of the cobbled back streets of Saint Gengoux, the property sits on a gentle hill with a triple aspect. Accessed from Rue des Cordiers, the front door is a few steps up from the road whilst a secure garage at street level provides an alternative entrance as well as safe storage for a car and bikes and access to the lift servicing all floors.
Inside, the ground floor features a large, open plan kitchen, living room and dining room with ample seating and a dining table to seat 14. A shower room, separate WC and Laundry room complete the downstairs accommodation. Just off the kitchen, the lift takes guests down to the garage or up to the first and second floor.
On the first floor, you will find a large landing, leading to 4 large double bedrooms all with their own ensuite bathroom or WC. One of these bedrooms features a separate, connecting bedroom with a further 2 single beds; perfect for a family with young children.
On the top floor, accessed via the lift or the stunning original, wooden staircase, guests will find the Games room and fifth sleeping area. Set over the entire top floor, to the far end you will find a Double bed and a Single bed, whilst the rest of the floor is given over to Entertainment with a large cinema screen and projector, pinball machine, arcade machine with hundreds of preloaded games and a baby-foot table! Paradise for guests of all ages!
Guests have use of the entire property with the living area set over 3 floors. A secure garage at street level provides safe storage for a car and bikes and access to the lift servicing all floors.
The property is provided with all linen and towels free of charge. Central Heating is available throughout with air conditioning also an option on the top floor.
