We would like to welcome you to Les Magnolias, located at the edge of the “bastide” Lalinde, founded by Henri III Plantagenet in 1267. You will find our domain of 6 acres on the banks of the Dordogne river.
Fabulous Riverview stonehouse located on the main road between domain Les Magnolias and the bridge of Lalinde, close to the center. From the house and from your private terrace you have a magnificent view of the Dordogne river. You can park for free across the road.
You are within walking distance of the center of Lalinde. Here you will find a pleasant shopping street with old village centre, supermarket (400m), bakery, tourist office, bicycle rental, banks, post office, restaurants and cafes with terraces, delicacies and wine trade and last but not least the weekly Thursday morning market with something for everyone. You will also find a new charging station for your electric car.
This holiday home is located on the south and has an authentic sitting room with adjacent kitchen, via the stairs you reach the master bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with 2 x 1 single bed. You will also find a luxurious bathroom with shower, bathroom furniture with sink and a toilet. The living room, kitchen and bedrooms offer a magnificent view of the Dordogne river.
This Périgourdine house has a spacious living room with central heating, double glazing, free wireless internet and smart televison There is an UK vpn connection so you can watch all your favourite UK subscriptions.
You will find also a fully equipped kitchen including vacuum cleaner, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, freezer and refrigerator. Cutlery, crockery, coffee maker, kettle and plenty of other kitchen utensils are of course available.
With the fresh products that you can buy within walking distance at the local market in Lalinde, you can enjoy cooking in your own holiday home. The original sitting room has two comfortable armchairs and a sofa. In the kitchen you will find a dining area. Through the French doors you have access to a lovely sun terrace (32m2) located in the shade under the trees. The terrace offers patio furniture and a panoramic view over the river and the Dordogne valley.
Outside you will find a spacious communal garden with garden bench, sun loungers and direct access to the riverbank.
River View cottage is not located on the estate Les Magnolias. However, you can use all the facilities (including the swimming pool) of Les Magnolias. These are located approximately 400 meters away. You can check in at the reception of Les Magnolias.
River View Cottage has a lockable storage room for bicycles and/or motorbikes.
This spacious holiday home is ideal for 2 to 4 people. The house is less suitable for families with small children. Baby cots and high chairs are available on request (free of charge). Please indicate when booking. A barbecue is available in your storage room.
Domain Les Magnolias
Les Magnolias is located in an authentic setting where time seems to have stood still. Once you enter by the big gate, you are in our fully enclosed park with beautiful old magnolia, cedar and oak trees. You will find many seating areas in the sun or in the shade. You can ,after you have checked in at the reception, park your car in our private parking for guests.The swimming pool (17 x 7 m) has a lovely view of the river, it has extensive terraces and is surrounded by palm and olive trees. The pool is filled with water from our own source. It is a unique oasis of peace. Behind the swimming pool you will find a terrace with lounge corner and bamboebar. WIFI is available in the total accommodation.
Our Maison de Maitre, a romantic riverside mansion from the 18th century, has recently been renovated into a boutique style chambre d’hotes accomodation. The adjacent building was used as a tobacco and wine warehouse and is now converted into a holiday home complex.
In 2021 we acquired a nearby Périgourdine stonehouse on the Dordogne river. This house has been converted into 2 spacious holiday homes.
